Field Notes: Week 1 – Arrival

*These are recovered field notes found on the Citizens base. Unnamed survivor describes his exploration of the new world. No records on his personality have been ever found. You now have access to these papers, as they may drastically increase your chances for survival in the Forest.

I made it. Somehow, against all odds, I made it.

By the time I reached the Arc, I was exhausted, starving, and more than a little afraid. But the rumors were true: survivors are here. It’s not much yet, just some tents and makeshift barricades, but it’s something.

A few of the newcomers have engineering experience, and they’re already talking about building a pulley system to haul supplies—and people—up to the top of the Arc. A crazy idea, but with the way the forest is at night, crazy might just keep us alive.

It’s strange, being around people again. Sharing a fire, trading stories, even arguing over what to do next. It feels fragile, like one bad night could tear it all apart.

But there’s strength in numbers. Maybe, just maybe, we can build something here. Something worth holding onto.
